Legoland Click here to return to the Sutphen Family Home Page On Sunday, 9/29/2002 - we made our first visit to Legoland in Carlsbad, California. Carlsbad is about halfway between Irvine and San Diego right off the freeway. For the Lego-lover, this park is AMAZING! You'll see lots of structures - all made from Legos - famous buildings, people, fairy tale characters - even Harry Potter! If fast rides are your bag, this park isn't for you. There were a couple rollercoaster-type rides which were ok, but its greatest feature is the fabulous collection of Lego structures, the 3D movie (very cool but can cause motion sickness its effect is so vivid), and several hands on exhibits where you can build your own stuff with Legos. - Tom.
